Artist Statement

Fina states, "My work is inspired by a fascination with the area between the dreamworld or subconscious and reality,  the slow journey to consciousness where worlds overlap."

She creates windows/openings or spaces where nothing is, and then it is anchored, using texture to reinforce the dreamlike quality of her work. Colour is important to her, ideas often occurring through meditation, exploring connections within the universe.  "Ideal conditions where creativity is born and nurtured."

It is fleeting and fugitive - Fina Conté captures fragments of the essence of those moments.
